Meteors
Now and then a meteor lands on your island. Its core is a rich ore vein for a short while, and the whole team can mine it out together.
Meteors are off until the island owner turns them on.

How it goes:
- After 2 to 6 hours of play on your island, you get a 10-minute warning with a Home button, so the team can get there.
- A boss bar counts down the last minute. The meteor streaks in and lands on open ground.
- It leaves a small crater of rock with a meteor core in the middle. The core works like an ore vein, and starts on an ore.
- The core lasts 2 hours, or until its breaks run out.
- It never breaks or burns anything you built. It only lands on natural ground.
- It only lands when someone's home. If nobody is, it waits.
- After one lands, the next waits at least 4 hours.
- A higher island level makes a better core: from Tier III up to Tier V, and from 32 up to 128 breaks.
- No open ground means no meteor. Clear a patch and it tries again.
